El Dr. Wilberto Cortés nació en Puerto Rico, la bella Isla del Encanto en el Caribe. Estudió en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico donde recibió numerosos reconocimientos y distinciones hasta graduarse Magna Cum Laude. En su afán por lograr el sueño de convertirse en cirujano plástico, fue aceptado en la Escuela de Medicina de Ponce en Puerto Rico, la cual está acreditada por los Estados Unidos.
Después de cuatro años de cumplir con un intenso currículo, se graduó y recibió la distinción académica más alta de su clase (#1 de su clase) y fue aceptado en el Programa de Cirugía Plástica Integrada en el Medical College of Wisconsin en Milwaukee donde completó un retador adiestramiento de cirugía plástica. Durante dicho tiempo estuvo un año haciendo investigaciones, viajó a Sur América y desarrolló un protocolo para las disecciones anatómicas faciales para determinar y analizar la base anatómica de una cara y un cuello joven. Dicho estudio fue presentado en las más pretigiosas reuniones a través de la nación y ha sido citado en los libros más recientes sobre levantamiento de cuello. Su dedicación, habilidad, amplitud mental y ojo clínico le permitieron determinar la localización de los ligamentos que retienen el cuello. Se cree que dichas estructuras son uno de las muchos factores envueltos en el proceso de envejecimiento. Después de cientos de horas de disecciones anatómicas en Estados Unidos y Sur América, El Dr. Cortés ha podido dominar los detalles de la anatomía del cuerpo. Esto le ha permitido comprender abarcadoramente los problemas básicos para escoger el mejor procedimiento quirúrgico para disminuir el proceso de envejecimiento.
Después de completar su residencia, tuvo la oportunidad y el privilegio de visitar muchas autoridades en el campo de la cirugía plástica. El Dr. Cortés estuvo un tiempo en Miami con uno de los grandes especialistas en el área de lipoescultura y formación de traseros. Todo esto le ha permitido obtener un adiestramiento global en aumento de busto, reconstrucción de senos y en moldear traseros con injerto de grasa.
El Dr. Cortés se esmera continuamente en ampliar sus conocimientos y auscultar el mejor método y más recientes técnicas para pulir su arte en la cirugía plástica. Su éxito estriba en una atención individual asertiva al diagnosticar el problema fundamental de cada paciente para recomendar la mejor opción quirúrgica seguida por un cuidado exquisito. Como consecuencia, cuando estos dos elementos se combinan cuidadosamente, el cuerpo se transforma en una divina silueta rejuvenecida que muchas mujeres siempre han anhelado poseer.
